Hand-molded glass tile inserted over the mantle of a stone fireplace creates the image of a wave.
Tile is a décor tool that can be multi-functional and decorative, classic and adventurous. "I like tile because it's both visual and tactile," says Eloise Kubli, an interior designer with Collective Construction & Design in Plantation. "There are so many creative ways to use it because there are so many different shapes and textures." Tiles can fit into nearly any kind of décor, whether classic and traditional or modern and contemporary. "It's a way of bringing centuries- old tradition into today's Florida environment," Kubli says. "I love the idea of taking the best of something from the past and using it in a new way." continued |
