The outdoor world is filled with color, and a patio can be a place to indulge in brighter, more colorful furnishings than might be found indoors.
Dressing up an outdoor living space can make a staycation seem much more enjoyable. Outdoor living spaces are meant for relaxation and fun, and furnishings should offer comfort, function and low maintenance. “Patio furniture has come a long way, and can be as comfortable as indoor furniture,” says Eloise Kubli, an interior designer with Collective Construction and Design in Plantation. Kubli prefers brighter tones outdoors. “Even if you have a neutral palette inside, I like color outside,” she says. “Neutrals are not nearly as striking as colors on a patio. If you do want to keep furniture neutral, you can pop some color with an area rug, which will also anchor the seating and provide a wonderful, soft feel.” continued |
