Rear Elevation - The exterior of the home represents the traditional Floridian milieu. Resting gracefully on a large-scaled canal, the home exudes an enthralling scenic ambiance that can be enjoyed from nearly ever room in the home. As part of the overall revival, the plush landscaping blossoms with jubilance and elegance.

When homeowners Ron and Kisha Holt purchased their 8,500-square-foot Hawks Landing home in Plantation, Fla., they had style, comfort and serviceability in mind for themselves and their four children. In an effort to personify their new home, the couple appointed interior designer Eloise Kubli for an all-out renaissance renovation. Having familiarity with her clients is a requisite for success, and focusing on sophistication, clean lines and a neutral color palette is just the beginning.

Living Room - Nothing is more memorable than a dramatic chandelier. This one, custom designed by Wired, hangs gracefully over the living room and is undeniably sensational. Its tiered metal, cone-shaped design carries many dangling crystal pendants that have a mesmerizing effect.

Dramatic is an understatement for the foyer that gracefully sweeps into the living room with solid marble columns, polished limestone flooring, a spiral staircase and cathedral ceiling. Kubli transforms the original mantle into a voluptuous ceiling-high fireplace, a powerful focal point in the room. Custom designed and constructed of faux coral stone, the unit rests behind the mosaic-tile hearth, while the hand-molded organic glass overlay in the center generates eye-catching results.

Family Room - The eyes gravitate to the unique and expressive artwork in the family room. Made of mud cloth, this authentic native original from South Africa truly fits the bill for a cozy and inviting environment.

Texture plays an important role as the designer strategically integrated a synthesis of fine fabrics and woods for contrast. “My clients love the blend of textures, it adds another dimension,” Kubli says. A hint of contemporary panache is added with a black and cream, hand-woven wool and silk area rug. Furnishings are strategically balanced with an ivory chenille sofa by Hickory White that is adorned with silk and velvet accent pillows.

Dining Room - In the breakfast area, swirls of incredible color show off the veins in the beautiful, red-onyx top and leather-wrapped wood table, while the woven sea grass chairs add texture. Asian inspired, the chandelier speaks volumes with its forged iron base and hanging shade pendants made of recycled glass.

With a mixture of organic woods and a hint of ethnic influence, the breakfast area is set for casual dining with style. Nearby, the family room comes together with ultra-suede chairs from Taylor King that front a limestone wall fitted with a flat screen TV.

One year later, the project is complete and the Holts are ecstatic with the outcome. “Eloise and her team considered every detail imaginable from the outlets to the placement of furniture,” Kisha says. “They made the entire process seamless and easy.”
